Weight loss: Week 2...

Nolan: 1lb

We had a bad week this week, we went home for the weekend and went out for dinner with Yasmin, and didn't eat very healthy because we were out all day! But, glad that we've both lost weight instead of putting on, lol.

In other news, as I said before we went home to see Yasmin for the weekend. She's a big fan of these "knock knock" jokes and would not stop with them, lol. Her favourite was...

Weight Loss: Week 1...

Week 1 of diet/exercise plan down! It's so much easier sticking to it when I'm blogging about it, feeling so much better physically too and it's only been 1 week! Had our weigh in yesterday and the results are below (drumroll ......)

Kim's weight loss :- 3lbs

Nolan's weight loss :- 6lbs

(Slightly gutted Nolan's lost more weight than me, lol but well done babe :D)

As of tomorrow...

As of tomorrow Nolan and I will be on one huge diet! We both need to shift some weight and get healthier, myself especially! We're both off work tomorrow so we will be going out to get a huge healthy food shop, and after work every night we'll be going for a brisk walk around the neighbourhood along with doing individual exercise plans. Not only will it be good exercise for us, we'll also get to catch up on each other's news and have a good chat. We are both so happy and comfortable with each other that we have let things go, not bothered with exercise and eating healthier etc so now is the time to change that! AND of course, we'll be planning the wedding soon so it will be good motivation to lose a decent amount of weight! Wish us luck! Will be posting our progress.

Happy Halloween everybody! Here's Yasmin dressed as a Kitty Cat...



I went out and bought a load of sweeties and chocolates and spent ages making little goodie bags for the trick or treaters and we only had 9 kids come here, haha! We decorated the whole place in work with balloons, ghosts, cobwebs etc and management came around with sweets and toffee apples for everybody! Everyone really got into the Halloween "spirit" this year haha :) Bye for now!

Yasmin's 5th Birthday!

Yasmin has just gone home :( We all had such a lovely week together! She loved her presents, especially her Nintendo DSi! She opened all of her DSi games first and was like "but I haven't got a DSi?", lol and then she opened it and literally screamed and ran up to us to hug us :) Here's a few pics!











On the Sunday after her birthday we brought her back down to South Wales with us for a few days! We were so lucky with the weather too, it has been boiling recently! We did painting, took her swimming, bowling, and for picnics to the park! I was working all week (boo!) so only got to spend the evenings with her and Nolan. It was so soul-crushing leaving them in bed while I got up at 6:15am :( was literally counting down the minutes in work! We ate out practically every day too (whoops!), but I couldn't face spending my evening with Yas cooking in a boiling kitchen, lol.

Nolan and I were so sad when she had to go home, she ended up staying one extra night than planned so we were made up. She got so spoilt by us too (even after her birthday presents) we can't help it, lol.

I totally forgot to get a new camera too so these pictures are pretty crappy, definitely getting a new camera on my next pay-day!

How Lucky Am I?!...

So, I'm having a happy day today and realised just how lucky I really am. I had a fun day in work and have met some lovely new friends. I have full-time job that I enjoy (which is hard to come by these days), a loving fiance, a wonderful step-daughter (who will be in Cardiff in 2 weeks) and a supportive family. Life could be a lot worse right now :)

Although, I was dreading coming home from work today because I had been in a rush in the morning, and knew I needed to tidy up... a lot. But, I came home and Nolan had tidied the whole house for me :) Little things like this make me realise how lucky I am, he's working two jobs and he still does things that would make my day a bit easier. It made me smile today too when I looked in the sink and I noticed he'd tried to make an omelette and had burnt the whole pan, lol. I had a phone call off an embarrassed Nolan then, saying how "he tried" and how "I make much better omelettes". He was like, "Kim, it was horrible, seriously", lol.

It makes such a difference knowing I can come home now and watch some TV, a bit of blogging, Facebooking, Tweeting and not have to waste two hours tidying and cleaning. So I'm relaxing tonight! Aaaaaah, thanks Nolan!

Kristin's new kitty!

This is "Pixie" :)



Isn't she unbelievably cute?! She's only a few months old and extremely hyperactive according to my sister, Kristin. I have to admit, seeing how affectionate Pixie is has made me a bit tempted to get a kitten myself. But then again, me and Nolan would be out all day, every day and it wouldn't be unfair on the kitten. Plus, judging from the past thefts of my washing line and wheelie bin, I wouldn't quite trust my neighbour hood to not steal it, lol.

Back to Blogging...

Wow, the last time I blogged was 9 months ago, how bad is that?! I'm definitely going to try and keep this one up-to-date, I was reading the posts I had written and laughed/cried at the memories that I had forgotten. So, for that reason alone it is definitely worth keeping up. So I'll basically try and condense 9 months of news into one blog post :)...........

I finally graduated!! Yaaaaay!! So I am officially Miss Kimberley Anne Charlton BSc (Honours) with an upper second class degree. I am currently a Customer Service Associate for ING Direct :)



Kristin and me also also turned 21! We had a lovely family day; had Sunday lunch with dads side of the family and in the evening Richard set up a barbecue, mum made a buffet, the whole family came over and we just sat in the sun all day laughing about childhood memories and drinking champagne!



Myself and Nolan also got engaged in May :) We will start the planning soon, I would like to be married by 2013 so we have a lot of saving to do! Yasmin is going to look gorgeous in a bridesmaid dress! She already can't wait to "have a big party where we all wear pretty white dresses".

Yasmin is also in full-time school, she started last week. She is LOVING it, and finds it amazing that she has "3 breaks not two any more". She also eats foods in school that she normally doesn't eat at home so that's always a good thing! It's her birthday in two weeks, 5 already!! Her main present is a Nintendo DSi with a load of games! She's slowly drifting from that "toys" stage and gradually wanting more grown up presents like the Nintendo DSi and an mp3 player! I think that's a shame, I was still playing with Barbies at 10, lol. But hey, that's what kids are into nowadays. We also get to have Yasmin here for four days after her birthday :) Although I will be in work it will be nice for Nolan to have some "daddy/daughter" time, I can join them at 5pm when I finish and we can still do lots of fun things then!

I think those are the main events that happened throughout the 9 months I abandoned my blog, so I'll say byeee until my next post :)
