When it rains, it pours :(

This weekend has been the unluckiest weekend ever. And yes, it was the weekend I went home to Anglesey. We left for Holyhead on the Friday evening and we nearly there when the battery light in the car came on, luckily we were 8 miles from home! But after having a look at it, Nolan found out it was the battery "alternator" (charger) and typically it was bank holiday so no where was open for us to fix it, and again, typically if we were in Cardiff Nolans brother could have fixed it for us (he's a mechanic who owns his own garage). We phoned the "AA" who we had breakdown cover with and for us to get towed back down to Cardiff it would cost us £60 to upgrade our policy, so we did that and thought we'd be fine. But then after another visit from the AA the lying b******ds said that we'd also have to pay a £50 callout fee along with £2 per mile that they had to tow us. Cardiff is 200 miles!!! So we were stuck, I wasn't about to pay over £300 to get towed! So, their pitiful solution was to give us two car batteries and just hope that we'd get home or even close to home to "save them towing us the whole 200 miles". So in other words, we could have broken down on the busy motorway and they didn't give two hoots and just fobbed us off with these batteries! So Nolan phoned them back giving them a piece of our minds and in the end they actually gave us the two batteries for free (worth £160). I'm still annoyed though so I'm writing them a letter as we speak, what's the point in telling us to upgrade and forgetting to tell us about the £2 per mile thing, I wouldn't have bothered otherwise.

Anyway, we didn't get to see our family or Yasmin as much as we'd have liked because of the bloody car which was a pain. Nolan wanted to take Yasmin to Llandudno on the pier with the little rides and stalls and then on the beach for an ice cream but we didn't get to do any of that without a car, it was nice weather aswell :( Yasmin has missed us so much, you could tell because as soon as I picked her up from her mums she was hugging and kissing me, stroking my hair and face and saying "I love you Kimmi" all the time, bless her. She kept thinking she was coming with us too, "I coming to Cardiff with you and daddy today?". As much as we wanted her to come with us, Nolan had work and I have exams so we arranged for her to come down in a few weeks for a whole week :) She also heard us talking about the car aswell so she said...
Yasmin: "Your car battery broken daddy?"
Nolan: "Yes Yas, I daddy needs to fix it"
Yasmin: "I can help you fix it daddy"
Nolan: "Can you?"
Yasmin: "Yeah...we have to go to my nains and get my tools though!"
Nolan: "Thats a good idea Yas!"
Yasmin: "Yeah daddy, I got another idea too...I come to Cardiff to live with you and Kimmi?"
Think she really loves Cardiff because when she's down here we're out everyday even if it's raining, swimming, bowling, park, walks, beaches! She loves all that especially the swimming and it's so important she learns now so she doesn't have to when she's like 8 like I did.

In other news, my nains still not well and is still on her chemotherapy, but she's such a strong woman. It was nice just to see her and give her a hug, although I had such a bad cold so couldn't get too close, a cold would have gone on her chest and would have made her worse especially since the Doctors found fluid on her lungs recently.

Anyways, back to revision, exams all this week. :\
