Christmas at home!
Hve had such a wonderful christmas at home with all the family! I have been so spoiled, spent christmas day with mum, didn't get there till 11am so I was desparate to open some pressies, what a kid I am. Got loads of girly things like perfume, make up, body butters and cream, wine, pyjamas, chocolates etc and a lot of money to spend in the sales :) Yasmin got spoilt aswell, had all the presents off us along with a tea trolley with a tea set off mum, flanelette pyjamas off Krissi and money off everyone else. She was really pleased! Boxing day we were with dad then, and in Rachels in the evening. Rachel did this HUGE buffet and god we'd just eaten a massive roast, urrgh felt so sick the next day haha! Especially with all the overload on drinking we had done aswell, not good. Getting my hair done tonight, cannot wait, it is looooooong overdue! Pictures to follow when I get the time :D

Snow was a bad idea...
We got snow!!! Wish I hadn't asked for it, didn't realize it would cause so much trouble when you live at the bottom of a huge hill! We woke up and everywhere was white, covered. Nolan had work, but next doors car nearly wheelspan into ours so no way was he risking writing off his car, especially because we're going home tomorrow. We'd be quite literally stuck! So he opted for the train but all the trains were either cancelled or delayed which was fine because he would have waited for one, but he finishes at 9pm, the trains wouldn't have been running then, so boss man phoned and said he could have the day off :) So we literally did nothing, wathced cheesy christmas movies like Muppets Christmas Carol (my favourite), Elf, Jack Frost and The Santa Clause. I made a lush roasted vegetable soup and we just stayed under the quilt all day and stayed warm, good idea it was because it's -6 degrees here!!!! I just hope we can get home tomorrow, because Nolan is seriously worried, its a five hour drive but I don't mind taking the trip slow all day if thats what it takes, Id rather be safe than sorry!

No more thinking about presents!!!
DONE! Christmas shopping is done! I keep thinking I've forgotten someone, its driving me crazy but I refuse to think about it now! Hope everyone likes what they have, I prefer buying people presents compared to receiving them, love to see the look on peoples faces! Didn't really have to do much shopping this year, and I'm not really in the christmas mood, I think its because we don't have a tree or anything. We decided not to bother with decorations and a tree this year, there were a few reasons why. For one, we chucked all our decorations and old tree last year when we moved down to Cardiff so we would have had to buy everything from scratch, plus we're not here for christmas we're with the family for North Wales, and finally we won't be back untill new year and Nolan is back to work and I'm straight back to University so after a five hour car journey we would just be like "errghh we've got to pull this tree and all the decorations down now!". Call me Scrooge, fine, but we didn't even think about it untill like ten days ago! There was no point buying one then! Will try and make more of an effort next year :) Nolan bought some lovely pressies for Yasmin yesterday, as mentioned before, she has already had a tv and dvd player off him so we only bought a few bits; a FiFi play cottage with FiFi figures, Roary the Racing car and talking figure, Bob The Builder work play set, a Ben 10 stationary set, a Tresspass winter coat and some more clothes. Yes, I know a few of them are kind of "boy-ish" but she loves them characters so thats all that matters I suppose. Meanwhile, mum is REALLY looking forward to seeing me, havent seen her in about two months and I never really get time to see her because I have a lot of visiting to do as I don't come down very often. She told me on the phone yesterday that she couldn't wait to give me cuddles and "sniff my hair" and "feel my cute cheeks"...slightly creepy? I think its cute, bless her :)

Cute Vid :)
Nearly forgot, here's a cute little video I took of our niece Esme laughing at the Nintendo wii! I don't know why she found it so funny :D
Presents ...
I'm at a bit of a loss this year present-wise! I know the recession has hit everyone hard so everyone is a bit strapped for cash, so I am not going overboard this year. Last year Kristin and me went halfs on an Estee Lauder make up kit, perfume and suitcase for mum for her holidays, all together it was around £170! Won't be doing that this year I'm afraid! This year, it's strictly wine and chocolates! For me, christmas is for the children anyway, and I will be looking forward to seeing family and friends and having fun! We went halfs with Yasmins mum to buy her a pink 19 inch television and dvd player for her bedroom, so just a few presents this year. So far she has a few bits of clothes, and a nice warm winter coat and a kids laptop which has little activities on it. She had one before and she was always on it, but she told us it had broken so we can replace that for her. She will be spoiled this year as usual anyway, she always prefers the smallest and cheapest present she has anyway. For her birthday, we bought her a Peppa Pig xylophone as something small, and she played with it ALL day, but I think thats how most kids are. Kristins got a new boyfriend aswell, so he'll be spending christmas with us, haven't met him yet so will have to grill him about his intentions towards my sister haha! Whatever happens, presents or no presents, I'll still have a lovely time, because family and friends is what it's all about all about :)

Early Christmas Presents :)
Since Lowri, Charly and myself are going home for christmas we won't be seeing each other for three weeks so we decided to open presents. I was so happy with the pressies I got. Weeks ago we were shopping and I saw a necklace and earring set from Dorothy Perkins I desperately wanted, and when we started Uni second year, I saw that Lowri's mum had painted a picture of me with a snowy landscape for her bedroom. I SO wanted that aswell. So turns out I had both :) Along with a nice bottle of wine from Lowri which will be comsumed tonight with X factor! Thank you girls! Merry Christmas!

New Moon <3

Oh New Moon is finally out and it was worth the wait. Was meant to go and see it with the girls but Nolan offered to take me on the Sarurday cause I needed cheering up! And to be fair, Nolan wasn't particularly impressed with Twilight the first film, and I loved it obviously as any Twilight saga fan would have. The acting was ten times better in New Moon, Bella especially. In twilight I found all the eye fluttering and heavy breathing a bit predictable and quite frankly annoying. But with this one, she was more emotive and natural I think. I just didn't find her as annoying! Jacob made the whole film, he got a chance to really show he could act, and in the new moon book I struggled to find the fuss with Jacob. I could not understand their relationship and why Bella felt this loyalty and affection for him. Although I still am Team Edward (LOL) I can understand their relationship more, and the sadness Bella and Jacob feel because they know it will never be. Sooooooo sad! Am taking another trip tonight with the girls, cannot wait so we can all see the film together instead of being judged by Nolan for crying like a blubbering wreck, they will feel my pain! LOL! The soundtrack is really good aswell which I expected because the Twilight one was so good. Each song fits the scenes perfectly, but my favourite has to be "The Meadow"!

Nearly Christmas!

Haven't updated my blog for a while I have had so much work to do and spent the week at home! Had a really good week, caught up with some friends and saw all my family again, not for as long as I would have liked. I'm not going all out on christmas this year, because as I see it, christmas is about the presents and fun for children and just about getting together for adults. Plus, there are a few babies in the family so it just gets ridiculous doing every last family member! I'm just doing stocking fillers this year and clothes for the babies. I just can't wait to spend a whole two weeks at home, I fancy going to Wrexham for new years because me and Kris never get to spend it together usually so since we have the time off, I might take advantage of it! So excited! :)

Looooong Week zzzzz...
Thank you for a lovely week babe! :)
Ooooh I'm so tired, had Yasmin all week and it's taken its toll now! Lol! Went swimming again today, the weather is so crappy and its better than staying inside all day! Third time this week! Going back home tomorrow and I'm so excited, really missed mum and Rich and everyone. Staying with mum which will be great, we'll probs end up watching Twilight all weekend lol! Only person missing will be Krissi which is a shame. Can't wait to see how nainy is doing aswell, she says shes feeling better and she stops her medication next week so we will see how things go from there! :)

Swimming
We have spent ALL day swimming, literally, like five hours. Yasmins got a bit more guts in the pool now, can swim on her own with the armbands! Nolan was really chuffed! She got too big for her boots then, jumping in the deep end and going on slides lol! Me and Nolan loved it aswell, don't know why we don't do more things like this, just me and him, we did it for a while but then we stopped for some reason. He started working weekends and we just had no time for it! He's upstairs reading Yasmin a story now so I've got five minutes to myself! :) Hair stinks of chlorine so might go for a soak, swimming again tomorrow and baking I think :)

Ryan's Christening
Words cannot express how knackered I really am! Got up at 7am to get a shower even though we werent due to be there till 10am. I wanted to curl my hair and get Yasmin ready aswell! The church was lovely, so proud of Nolan being godfather to Ryan. Even though he only said a few words and he didn't have to learn anything, he still delivered those words with precision and meaning lol! The hymns were so high pitched and you should have heard Nolan trying to sing them, nearly burst out laughing in the church! Baby Ryan was so well behaved aswell, didn't utter a peep! Yasmins in bed now so I'm going to have cuddles with Nolan, haven't had a chance to all week! :)

Early Night for Christening tomorrow :)
Finally, Yasmins asleep at a fairly reasonably hour lol she fell asleep at around quarter to eight. She didn't sleep till 10 30pm last night! Think it was because she was excited and plus its a new environment for her to sleep in, one thats not totally familiar as shes only been here once before. We let her have a nap in the car aswell which I don't think she normally does so that probably messed up her routine. Plus she's got a cold, it went away for a while but she's been sniffling all day and coughing a lot, shes had tissues in her pockets all day and shes very independent wiping her nose herself like a proper grown up lol We're just keeping her warm aswell and giving her lots of fluids and if shes still sick tomorrow I will give her some vicks and calpol I think. She met Lowri and Charly today aswell, they had to help her colour of course. Baby Ryan's christening tomorrow aswell, Nolan is godfather so we have to be there pretty early! Yasmins been a bit whingy today aswell, think it was because it rained really heavily and we had to stay in. It will be better tomorrow because she can be with other children instead of being cooped up inside! Swimming monday then and she'll love that! We're taking her to see baby Joe this week aswell, she loves playing mother hen so she'll enjoy that. Just hope her cold will get a bit better so she can enjoy her week!

Yasmins finally here, she hasnt seen us in like five weeks, so when she first saw me she wouldn't stop hugging me or stroking my face, it was so cute! It's a four and a half hour journey from North Wales to South Wales and Yasmin did absolutely no whinging at all! :) Good girl she was, she ate her own body weight in fruit by hey thats ok. She's lying here now on her daddy and we're being forced to watch Ratatouille lol! She's wearing this all-in-one peppea pig babygrow pyjama suit and she looks adorable! Hope she sleeps well tonight cause' she's had a long day in school and then all the travelling. Can't wait, a whole week with her! Should be fun!

Kristin's visit to South Wales :)
Ok so I'm just waiting to leave for north wales, hours are dragging! Kristin came down last week for two nights, It was amazing that she actually came down, thought she never would! We went out to treforest and she met the gang, had such a good time, Kristin especially ;). Sore heads next day! We needed the next day to relax, had a nice evening with Kristin then, chinese and a bottle of wine. Now that we're in separate Universities, I appreciate her a lot more, before I could have seen her every day whenever I wanted but now shes miles away. When I do have time with her, I feel so happy, makes you thankful for what you have already got. Can't wait till the next time, mind you we're off down there next, charly and lowri are coming as well so it should be IMMENSE!
Beginner's Luck..
Ok, so decided to start doing this because I thought it would be a good way of keeping track and looking back on special and fun things in my life! After a chat with Kristin my twin sister I realized that I had moslty forgotten happy times and funny chats we had had. So blogging is going to keep all that "special" information for me! Off to North Wales tonight to get Yasmin. Yasmin is my boyfriends 3 year old daughter and shes so lovely, we have her for a week so am looking forward to that, have done all my work ready so I can just enjoy my week off with her and Nolan. On the agenda is, Christening, swimming, shopping, walks, etc. I'm sure we'll find lots of cool and fun things to do!
